Anthropic backs $300K prompt injection red team challenge

According to a post by Boris Cherny on October 15, 2026, Gray Swan AI announced the largest and most realistic AI red teaming challenge to date focused on indirect prompt injection.

The competition offers $300,000 to participants and is run in partnership with Anthropic, Meta, Google DeepMind, Reflection AI and other frontier labs. A statement highlighted significant progress on prompt injection for Claude models while noting the growing urgency to solve the issue as AI agents take on more tasks.
