Analysis

AFX, BSquared and VerusCoin bridges suffered coordinated exploits that drained more than $35.6M on July 23 2026. The AFX bridge on Arbitrum lost 24.2M USDC after five of seven validator signatures approved the withdrawal, pointing to a key or backend compromise. BSquared lost 8.6M B2 worth roughly $3.9M, which the attacker swapped for 5,409 BNB before bridging to Ethereum. VerusCoin Ethereum bridge lost $7.5M that was converted to 3,916 ETH and sent to Tornado Cash. All three attacker wallets are now empty, continuing the recent pattern of cryptocurrency bridge exploits and validator compromises.
