Arthur Hayes: Sells $26M Altcoins Ahead of Drop

Arthur Hayes liquidated altcoin positions totaling $26 million including 8000 ETH, 14 million ENA, 323000 UNI and 1.89 million ETHFI just before US equities triggered a broad crypto decline.

The move mirrors his sales during the November-December 2025 correction when BTC fell from 100000 to 85000. ENA dropped 13.77 percent to 0.169, ETHFI fell 11.87 percent to 0.5727, ETH lost 4.96 percent to 2257 and UNI held nearly flat at 6.91.

ETH trades at 2254.68 on the four-hour chart inside the Bollinger band with upper resistance at 2297.28 and lower support at 2229.16. The EMA50 at 2297.01 acts as immediate resistance while the EMA200 at 2429.75 caps any recovery. RSI at 42.82 remains neutral yet the MACD golden cross at minus 7.83 hints at short-term momentum building beneath the bearish structure. A test of the 50-EMA resistance followed by a pullback toward 2229 support appears the most probable path before any sustained upside attempt.
