Analysis

BNB Chain updated its official documentation on October 22 to outline a new high-performance L1, labeled TBD, that will run alongside existing BSC rather than replace it.

Coexistence and Token Strategy

The new chain will connect to BSC via a native bridge, allowing BSC to retain its large DeFi and application base while the L1 targets speed-sensitive workloads such as on-chain order books and perpetual trading. No new token will be issued; BNB remains the gas, staking, and governance asset across both networks.

Performance Targets and Timeline

Design goals include 200-millisecond block times, roughly 20-millisecond pre-confirmations, and sub-second transaction ordering. Internal multi-validator testnets are already live, with a public testnet slated for late 2026 and mainnet targeted for early 2027.

Price action on the 4-hour chart shows BNB trading at $743.39 inside the Bollinger Bands, with the upper band at $753.42 acting as immediate resistance and the lower band at $725.34 providing short-term support. The EMA50 at $737.6 has functioned as reliable support during recent pullbacks, while the EMA200 at $743.71 sits just above current levels. Momentum remains constructive: RSI at 55.08 shows room before overbought territory and the MACD golden cross at 1.79 confirms the bullish structure, suggesting any test of the upper band could lead to a measured retracement toward the 50-EMA before continuation.
