Analysis

Cathie Wood highlighted that CRCL has appreciated 84% since its IPO yet the one-year chart shows public equity markets remain inefficient in the short term, with analysts anchored to V and MA unable to grasp Circle as the disrupter. Circle posted a Q2 profit swing and doubled transaction revenue while USDC captured $849b July volume or 62% of the stablecoin market, driving a 30% single-month rally even as the stock sits 58% below last year's levels. Visa and Mastercard each joined the open standard consortium behind OUSD and Mastercard paid $1.8b for BVNK, shifting both networks from toll collectors into issuers competing directly in the $33t stablecoin transfer market that grew 72% last year.
