ETH slipped under $2400, leaving a Hyperliquid whale long 45,000 ETH with a $4.1 million unrealized loss. The position, now worth over $107 million and the exchange’s second-largest, was built at an average entry of $2486.37 after the trader added 28,300 ETH on the August 31 break below $2500.

Price action on the 4h chart shows ETH trading inside the Bollinger Bands with the upper band at $2504.13 acting as immediate resistance while the lower band at $2402.93 sits just beneath current levels. The EMA50 at $2430.97 continues to cap rallies as resistance and the EMA200 at $2194.06 remains the deeper structural floor. With MACD printing a death cross at -8.28 and RSI at 38.97, momentum favors further downside; a clean test of the lower band followed by a retracement toward the EMA50 support looks probable before any sustained recovery attempt.
