Analysis

Newton Foundation stated the Binance hacker mistakenly transferred 18 tokens worth roughly $3.5 million, including 8 million NEWT, directly to the NEWT token contract at 0xd0ec028a3d21533fdd200838f39c85b03679285d.

The contract has no owner or admin since rights were renounced onchain in 2025 and upgrades remain permanently disabled, locking the assets forever.

Technical Confluence

NEWT trades at $0.04 inside its Bollinger band with upper resistance at $0.05 and lower support at $0.04 while EMA50 and EMA200 both sit at $0.04, forming a flat bearish structure confirmed by the MACD death cross at -0.0; RSI at 50.06 shows neutral momentum, so price action is likely to test the $0.05 band ceiling before any retracement to the $0.04 EMA confluence.
