NVIDIA: Confirms Ohio Data Center Deal With OpenAI

NVIDIA confirmed its role as exclusive AI compute host for OpenAI at the PORTS-Pike Technology Campus in Pike County, Ohio, on the former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant site. SB Energy will build, own and operate the facility under a 20-year lease, delivering 4.25 IT-GW initially with an option for another 3.75 IT-GW to reach 8 IT-GW total capacity phased from 2028. NVIDIA is also committing $1.5 billion directly into SB Energy, alongside SoftBank and OpenAI, extending its data center infrastructure investments history while supporting OpenAI hyperscale AI compute capacity expansion plans.
