Samsung: Mistral AI Equity Acquired in €3B Round

Samsung acquired equity in Mistral AI during its record €3B funding round at a €21B+ valuation, the largest equity raise for any private European tech company. The round nearly doubles Mistral’s €11.7B valuation from twelve months earlier and brought in first-time backers including BlackRock, Advent and the EU-backed Scaleup Europe Fund alongside PSG Equity. Existing investors NVIDIA, ASML and Salesforce also participated while Mistral will deploy proceeds into frontier AI research, industrial applications and infrastructure expansion across the US, Asia and Europe.
