USDD: Zero-Freeze Contract Locks Out Blacklists
USDD zero freeze design prevents wallet blacklists across TRON, Ethereum and BNB Chain, handing final control to private keys instead of issuers.
SourceAnalysis
USDD token contracts contain no freeze, blacklist or destroyBlackFunds functions, so once the stablecoin leaves its over-collateralized vault and reaches a self-custody address, no issuer can seize or block transfers. Justin Sun highlighted the design on 5 September 2026, noting that protocol-level risk controls such as liquidation auctions still operate while account-level sanctions remain impossible. The structure gives users personal monetary sovereignty that USDT and USDC deliberately withhold, and the same rules apply unchanged on TRON, Ethereum and BNB Chain. USDD zero freeze therefore rests on immutable contract logic rather than issuer promises.
