The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) successfully hosted the third Global Financial Leaders’ Investment Summit, which concluded on November 19, 2024. The event, held in Hong Kong, attracted approximately 300 global and regional leaders from over 120 financial institutions, with a significant number of participants being group chairmen or CEOs, according to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

Under the theme “Sailing through changes,” the summit explored key developments in the macroeconomic environment, geopolitics, technological innovation, and climate change. Discussions centered on how the global financial community can seize opportunities arising from these changes while managing associated risks. The summit commenced with an opening keynote by Mr. He Lifeng, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. Following his speech, three Mainland financial regulators discussed economic and financial policies aimed at enhancing Hong Kong's status as a financial hub.
