Harvey introduces new admin control features to enhance security and governance for enterprises, enabling efficient management of permissions and integration with identity management systems.
Harvey, a platform known for its enterprise-grade security, has unveiled new administrative control features designed to simplify governance and enhance security as organizations scale. These updates aim to provide teams with the tools necessary to manage access and permissions effectively, according to Harvey's blog.
Centralize Control
The new settings experience introduced by Harvey allows administrators to manage all workspace features from a single location. This centralized control enables the activation of features such as integrations, models, and workflows, with immediate user and role access management. This streamlined approach eliminates the need for navigating through multiple roles and permissions screens.
Moreover, the introduction of user groups allows permissions to reflect the actual organizational structure, such as practice groups or regional offices. This setup facilitates faster team configurations, centralized visibility into access settings, and ensures that the team’s environment remains secure and aligned with organizational standards. New team members automatically receive permissions that match their peers, while changes in team assignments update access in real-time, reducing onboarding delays and access errors.
Automatically Sync Security
Security remains paramount in legal work, forming the backbone of client relationships and case management. Harvey plans to integrate full support for System for Cross-Domain Identity Management (SCIM) later this year. This feature will enable seamless connection between Harvey and existing identity management systems like Entra AD and Duo, widely used by law firms to manage user permissions.
With SCIM support, account provisioning will be automated, and user groups synchronized with the organization's system of record, ensuring that new users receive appropriate access immediately. This integration reduces manual setup efforts, allowing administrators to maintain proper access efficiently.
Maintain Enterprise-Grade Security With Ease
These updates reinforce Harvey's commitment to providing robust security solutions, enabling organizations to manage permissions and access with confidence. The new admin controls are now available to all Harvey customers, with SCIM support entering early access later this year. These enhancements are part of Harvey's ongoing dedication to building a platform where trust is integral, not an afterthought.
