Harvey Unveils Legal AI Innovations at FORUM Chicago 2026

Harvey FORUM Chicago 2026 brought together over 500 leaders from law firms, in-house legal teams, and the broader legal ecosystem to discuss the transformative role of artificial intelligence in legal work. During the event, Harvey unveiled several new AI-driven tools designed to enhance personalization, specialization, and operational efficiency in legal practices.

Harvey Graph: Enhancing Context for Legal AI

Harvey co-founder and CEO Winston Weinberg introduced Harvey Graph, a tool designed to address the "context problem" in legal AI. Weinberg emphasized that current AI tools often require lawyers to repeatedly provide background information and preferences, which can hinder collaboration and efficiency. Harvey Graph maps relationships across a firm’s matters or projects, enabling agents to share a unified understanding of the work. This shared context allows agents to seamlessly hand off tasks and produce more sophisticated outputs.

Weinberg described the vision as moving legal AI from "a tool you prompt to a team that you run," highlighting the importance of context and control in achieving this goal.

iManage Integration: Two-Way Sync for Legal Records

Shawn Misquitta, head of product at iManage, joined Weinberg to announce a two-way integration between Harvey and iManage. This integration allows context to flow from iManage into Harvey while completed work is synced back to iManage, which remains the system of record. Ethical wall policies maintained in iManage are also enforced within Harvey, ensuring compliance and security. The integration is set to enter early access soon.

New Tools for Personalization and Specialization

Harvey’s Chief Product Officer, Anique Drumright, introduced several new capabilities aimed at tailoring AI tools to specific legal workflows and practice areas:

  • Outlook Integration: Harvey agents are now available within Outlook, enabling users to triage emails, draft replies, schedule meetings, and initiate first-pass reviews directly from their inbox. A demo showcased how these features streamlined an M&A partner’s workflow, from overnight triage to drafting a purchase agreement.
  • In-House Legal Tools: Harvey’s new Intake solution automates contract requests, gathering context, routing tasks based on predefined rules, and generating redlines aligned with a team’s standards. These updates aim to reduce busywork for in-house teams, allowing them to focus on strategic tasks.

Fact Graph: Streamlining Litigation and Investigations

Harvey also unveiled the Fact Graph, a new capability designed for litigation and internal investigations. This tool creates a single, defensible record of facts linked to their sources, enabling teams to build chronologies, summaries, and other work products. The Fact Graph ensures seamless handoffs between teams and stages, addressing common challenges faced by litigators, who represent a significant portion of Harvey’s customer base.

These advancements demonstrate Harvey’s commitment to evolving legal AI into a more integrated and specialized toolset, tailored to the unique needs of legal professionals.
