NVIDIA Air is a cloud-based interface that allows users to model every component of their AI factory, from switches and adapters to cables. This digital twin provides a virtual environment for testing and validating network provisioning, automation, and security policies. Notably, network administrators can begin these operations even before any physical hardware is deployed.

Designed to simulate real-world data center environments, NVIDIA Air offers the necessary speed and resources for such simulations. It supports multiple network operating systems, including NVIDIA Cumulus and SONiC, and integrates with tools like NetQ. Importantly, NVIDIA Air eliminates the need for a hypervisor, thereby reducing resource and time bottlenecks, and operates seamlessly in a web browser without requiring additional software.

Simulation Building with NVIDIA Air

NVIDIA Air provides several ways to construct simulations, primarily through its Demo Marketplace and a drag-and-drop builder. The Demo Marketplace offers prebuilt labs that users can explore and modify, covering a range of topics and environments. These labs utilize different fabric options and configurations suited for large data centers.

The drag-and-drop editor allows users to create custom topologies by selecting and configuring nodes from a System Palette. This feature supports advanced configuration options, such as enabling UEFI Secure Boot and integrating an out-of-band management network for enhanced control.

Managing and Sharing Simulations

Once a simulation is created, users can view and manage it from the Simulations homepage. They can rebuild or reset nodes, rename simulations, assign them to organizations, and set expiration dates. Sharing simulations is made easy through a Manage Users feature, allowing read-only access to others.
