NVIDIA (NVDA) has announced a major partnership with SB Energy to secure land, power, and infrastructure (LPS) for a large-scale AI factory at the PORTS-Pike Technology Campus in Portsmouth, Ohio. The site will host NVIDIA’s compute infrastructure, and OpenAI is slated to operate the initial deployment. With a projected capacity of 4.25 gigawatts, this facility could generate $150 billion to $200 billion in NVIDIA revenue per compute generation over the next 20 years, making it a cornerstone of NVIDIA’s AI ambitions.

AI factories are specialized data centers designed to transform data into intelligence, supporting every step of the AI lifecycle from training to inference. These facilities rely on dense GPU clusters, high-speed networking, scalable storage, and robust cooling systems. NVIDIA’s PORTS-Pike deployment will use its full-stack DSX AI factory platform, including GPUs, CPUs, networking, and orchestration software.
