Stampli leveraged OpenAI's Codex and ChatGPT Work to cut launch production hours by 68%, showcasing AI’s role in streamlining fintech operations.
Stampli, a Mountain View-based fintech focused on procure-to-pay automation, has significantly reduced time-to-market for its product launches by utilizing AI tools from OpenAI. The company reported cutting production hours by 68% during the launch of its Deep Finance™ product, a feature aimed at providing executive-level spend intelligence.
With fixed deadlines and limited design resources, Stampli integrated OpenAI’s Codex and ChatGPT Work into its workflow. The result? What would typically require 243 hours of production was compressed into just 77 hours—a 3.16x acceleration. The tools were used to generate everything from blog series and launch emails to PR materials and sales enablement assets, while keeping human oversight intact for customer-facing outputs.
AI-Driven Efficiencies in Fintech
Stampli’s approach highlights the growing role of AI in streamlining operations for mid-market companies. The Deep Finance launch serves as a case study in how automation can offset resource constraints. Codex, for instance, allowed Stampli’s marketing team to connect product context, decisions, and messaging guidelines into a shared, actionable system. This not only saved time but also ensured consistency across materials.
Melad Zahedi, Stampli’s Director of Product Marketing, noted that the tools effectively multiplied the team’s output by tenfold. “Hundreds of pieces of content are now created weekly, compared to just a few before,” he said. The AI-powered system also simplified information gathering from disparate sources like Jira, GitHub, and meeting notes, automating the process of updating product materials.
Key Metrics and Outcomes
- Time Saved: Approximately 166 hours per launch, reducing production time by 68%.
- Content Scale: Production of hundreds of content assets weekly, a 10x increase.
- Launch Timeline: From prototype to public release in six weeks, down from months or quarters.
Beyond operational efficiency, Stampli’s AI adoption has influenced strategic decision-making. During an executive meeting, Codex enabled real-time data retrieval and analysis, cutting what would be half-day tasks into seconds. These efficiencies have freed up time for the marketing team to focus on advising leadership on broader product and corporate strategies.

The company’s recent innovations, including the Deep Finance launch, reflect its commitment to staying ahead in a competitive fintech market. By leveraging AI to compress development timelines and scale operations, Stampli aims to redefine how mid-market finance teams operate.
Looking Ahead
Stampli’s success with AI tools like Codex and ChatGPT Work has prompted the company to explore further applications across additional products and workflows. According to Zahedi, the ultimate goal is to unlock untapped potential within the organization. “Asking, ‘What can I do?’ and trying everything through ChatGPT unlocks latent capacity you didn’t realize was there,” he remarked.
As AI adoption continues to reshape industries, Stampli’s experience underscores its potential to transform not just efficiency but also strategic capabilities for fintech players.
