Analysis

Bitcoin saw 24,000 options expire with a put-call ratio of 0.84, maximum pain at $67,000 and $1.82 billion notional, while 149,000 ETH options settled at the same ratio with $2,000 max pain and $360 million notional.

Settlement cleared above max pain for one of the few times this year after BTC broke 76K and exited two sideways ranges, sending monthly realized volatility up 20% to 53% while implied volatility rose just 6% and VRP collapsed.

Price at $77923.38 now presses the upper Bollinger Band resistance at $77927.23 with RSI(14) at 94.67 overbought and MACD golden cross intact, pointing to a probable retracement toward the EMA50 support at $67140.47 before any extension higher.
