Bitcoin: $731M ETF Inflow Lifts Price Above $80K
Bitcoin surges above $80K on $731M single-day ETF inflow, August flows hit $3.5B as institutional demand returns and CLARITY Act odds stall at 16%.
SourceAnalysis
Bitcoin climbed back above $80K after a $731M single-day BTC ETF inflow, the largest since January 3, with August totals reaching $3.5B versus $172M in July.
BTC and ETH net assets now exceed $103B, cementing permanent institutional allocation even as the CLARITY Act sits at just 16% odds of passage by year-end. The debasement trade continues to dominate while Japan's $1.8tn pension fund and Norway's oil fund both signal reduced appetite for U.S. Treasuries.
Price action on the 4h chart shows BTC at $79464.65 inside the Bollinger Bands with upper resistance at $80758.64 and lower support at $78980.51. The EMA50 at $79051.81 acts as immediate structural support above the EMA200 at $73637.06, while RSI at 48.87 remains neutral and MACD at 155.13 prints a death cross. A test of the upper band could trigger a healthy pullback toward the 50-EMA before the next leg higher.
