Bitcoin: Sweep Completed as Trader Seeks Higher High

Michaël van de Poppe reports the Bitcoin liquidity sweep has occurred and warns that failure to print a higher high risks another sweep of lows that could wick below $75,000 and erase the uptrend.

Analysis

Bitcoin completed its liquidity sweep, according to Michaël van de Poppe, who now wants confirmation via a higher high before the next leg higher.

Without that move, price risks retesting the recent low, and a clean wick below $75,000 would threaten the entire uptrend structure. Holding $80,000 and building a higher low would instead mark the correction as complete and open the door to fresh highs.

On the 4h chart, price sits at $80,602 beneath both the EMA50 at $81,675 and EMA200 at $81,924, confirming a bearish trend structure while the MACD death cross at -436 keeps downside pressure intact. With price inside the Bollinger Bands and RSI at 40.84, the next decisive test is likely the upper band resistance near $82,132; a rejection there would favor a retracement toward the lower band support at $79,955 before any sustained push higher.
