BitMEX plans system maintenance affecting Testnet and Production environments in mid-November 2024, temporarily suspending trading activities.
BitMEX, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has announced scheduled system maintenance for both its Testnet and Production environments this November. According to BitMEX, the maintenance will take place on November 14 for the Testnet and November 16 for the Production environment.
Details of the Scheduled Maintenance
The maintenance will result in the temporary unavailability of the platform, with trading activities suspended from 02:00 UTC to 07:00 UTC on the specified dates. During this period, the BitMEX website, mobile applications, all trading APIs, and the WebSocket will be inaccessible.
Impact on Users
BitMEX has advised users that once the maintenance is completed, the system will initially operate in a cancel-only mode. Deposits made during the maintenance window will be processed and credited once the system is restored. BitMEX has also indicated that the maintenance could conclude earlier than scheduled, allowing trading to resume before the end of the announced window. Users are encouraged to monitor site announcements for updates, which will be provided at least 15 minutes before the resumption of trading.
