CoreWeave, a leading AI hyperscaler, has successfully raised $1.1 billion in Series C funding to expand its AI-focused cloud infrastructure, according to PRNewswire. The funding round was spearheaded by Coatue, with significant contributions from Magnetar, Altimeter Capital, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Lykos Global Management, Blackstone, Eric Schmidt, and Jane Street Group.
Strategic Expansion and Infrastructure Growth
The newly secured funds will support CoreWeave's rapid growth across various sectors and its expansion into new geographic regions. This move is aimed at meeting the increasing global demand for GPU-accelerated cloud infrastructure. CoreWeave's CEO, Mike Intrator, emphasized the company's mission to provide critical infrastructure for AI development. Intrator stated, "CoreWeave is designed specifically to tackle the most complex and pressing challenges in high-performance compute.
