Google introduces Gemini 3.5 Flash, a next-gen AI model for autonomous agents, promising faster workflows and cost savings for enterprise clients.
Google has unveiled Gemini 3.5 Flash, the first release in its latest AI model series, during its I/O 2026 event on May 19. Positioned as a step beyond traditional chatbot functionality, Gemini 3.5 Flash is designed to power autonomous, task-oriented AI agents capable of handling complex workflows with speed and efficiency.
The model delivers significant performance improvements over its predecessors, such as Gemini 3 Pro, excelling in benchmarks like Terminal-Bench 2.1 (76.2%) and MCP Atlas (83.6%).
