Expanding AI in Legal Education
Launched in September, the Harvey Law School Program is designed to integrate generative AI into legal education and professional training. The program has already seen rapid adoption in over 25 leading U.S. law schools, including Stanford and the University of Chicago. The move to the UK aims to support the next generation of legal professionals by providing resources and training in AI technologies.
Strategic Partnerships with UK Institutions
The collaboration with these prestigious UK law schools will allow each institution to tailor Harvey’s AI platform to their specific educational and professional goals. This initiative will provide access to Harvey's generative AI platform and a dedicated academic engagement team to aid in faculty training and curriculum development.
John Haddock, Chief Business Officer at Harvey, stated, “Expanding to the UK is a natural next step given Harvey’s partnership with leading firms and enterprises in London. The UK’s law schools have a rich history of shaping global legal practice, and their embrace of AI in education sets an exciting precedent for the profession worldwide.”
Commitment to AI Literacy
Professor Dan Hunter, Dean of The Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College London, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting its role in King’s Legal AI Literacy Programme. He emphasized that AI literacy is becoming a core element of modern legal education, preparing graduates to lead in a technology-driven legal landscape.
Enhancing Legal Services with AI
Harvey's domain-specific AI is designed for legal and professional services, streamlining workflows in contract analysis, due diligence, compliance, and litigation. Its integration into legal education aims to enhance research, drafting, and learning processes, ultimately fostering smarter decision-making in the legal field.
