NVIDIA unveils a compact generative AI supercomputer, Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit, enhancing AI capabilities at a reduced price, ideal for developers and hobbyists.

NVIDIA Introduces Affordable Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit

NVIDIA has announced the release of its most affordable generative AI supercomputer to date, the Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit. This compact device promises improved performance for AI applications and is now available at a new price point of $249, significantly reduced from its previous $499 cost, according to NVIDIA.

Enhanced AI Capabilities

The Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit offers a 1.7x increase in generative AI inference performance, boosting its capabilities by 70% to 67 INT8 TOPS. It also provides a 50% increase in memory bandwidth, reaching 102GB/s compared to its predecessor. This upgrade makes it a versatile tool for AI developers, hobbyists, and students aiming to explore generative AI, robotics, and computer vision.

Software and Hardware Innovations

With its NVIDIA Ampere architecture GPU and a 6-core Arm CPU, the developer kit supports multiple concurrent AI application pipelines. It is capable of handling up to four cameras, thereby improving resolution and frame rates over previous models. The device also integrates seamlessly with NVIDIA AI software like NVIDIA Isaac for robotics and NVIDIA Metropolis for vision AI.
