Objkt.com has successfully concluded Season 1 of its innovative Art Packs, a campaign that has introduced a new dynamic to art collecting on the Tezos blockchain. From June 4 to July 31, 2025, collectors had the opportunity to unlock potential rewards simply by engaging with the platform, according to Tezos.
Revolutionizing Art Collecting
The concept behind Art Packs is rooted in the excitement and unpredictability of trading cards, adapted for the digital art community. Collectors could earn these packs based on their purchasing activities on Objkt, with the chance to find unique artworks within. The randomness and element of surprise made the initiative particularly engaging, encouraging both discovery and support for artists.
Distribution and Impact
Throughout the two-month period, a total of 6,362 Art Packs were distributed, with over 5,100 opened by the end of the campaign. The remaining unopened packs continue to trade on the secondary market, adding an ongoing element of intrigue and value. This initiative not only increased engagement on Objkt but also supported artists by introducing their work to new audiences.
Inside the Art Packs
The artworks contained within the packs were freshly minted for this campaign, featuring contributions from 60 artists. This curated collection included both established names and emerging talents, offering a diverse range of styles and rarities. The most coveted piece from Season 1 was “tainted, stained & maculated” by Anna Malina, which, alongside works by artists like A.L. Crego and Sutu, became highly sought after by collectors.
Community and Market Engagement
The campaign generated significant buzz within the Tezos community, with over 40,000 tez worth of transactions on the secondary market. The initiative also fostered a sense of competition and camaraderie, as seen in community leaderboards and discussions. Some collectors earned recognition through their strategic trading and collecting activities, further enhancing the campaign's impact.
Expanding Reach and Future Prospects
Beyond the digital realm, Art Packs were also distributed at live events and through giveaways, helping to onboard new users and expand the community. This hybrid approach demonstrated the potential for Art Packs to drive both digital and real-world engagement.
Season 2 is already in the works, though details remain under wraps. The success of the first season suggests that future iterations could introduce new mechanics or expand upon existing ones, continuing to captivate the Tezos art community. As anticipation builds, collectors and artists alike are eager to see what surprises the next season will bring.
