According to EmberCN, James Fickel, a prominent ETH/BTC long trader, has concluded his year-long position today, selling 6,429 ETH worth $21.45 million to repay 227 WBTC. Fickel's strategy involved borrowing 2,987 WBTC via Aave at a 0.054 rate earlier this year, which he converted into 55,315 ETH to long the ETH/BTC rate. Starting in August, he began selling ETH to repurchase WBTC, eventually using 75,947 ETH to buy back the 2,987 WBTC at a 0.0393 rate. Ultimately, he incurred a loss of 20,632 ETH, equivalent to $68.84 million. With one of the largest ETH/BTC bulls surrendering, there is speculation whether Ethereum will rally.
