According to @zachxbt, a significant number of users have mistakenly transferred USDC to contract addresses across various blockchains due to poor user experience (UX) within the ecosystem. Although this is largely the user's fault, Circle, the issuer of USDC, has the capability within their contract to return the misplaced funds to the rightful owners but has chosen not to take action.
