Apple has announced a CryptoKit for iOS13, a secure and fast swift API to develop and perform cryptographic operations.
Apple has announced a CryptoKit for iOS13, a secure and fast swift API to develop and perform cryptographic operations. Apple announced them in a brief introduction; later on today, Apple will reveal and explain more information about it. The event is Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) the focus of this event is for the latest software iOS 13.
Based on Apple announcements, CryptoKit will open opportunities to the developers with a new line of work for cryptographic functionality. This new Swift API will allow operations just as encryption, key generation, and hashtag. Analysts believe that for it to work, iPhones must have an A7 chip.
Victor Radchenko posted on Twitter:

Frederic Jacobs, engineer of Apple's cryptographic and security team, posted on Twitter a link to the conference:

"System frameworks encrypt both data at rest and data in transit in a transparent way for you. This functionality is available by simply setting an attribute. However, you may want to do more to protect your users' data. CryptoKit is a new Swift framework that makes it easier and safer to perform cryptographic operations, whether you need to compute a hash or are implementing a more advanced authentication protocol."
Apple is competing against Samsung for years already since Samsung released its new S10 with rumors for an integrated cryptocurrency wallet, Apple is taking two steps ahead and making it happen today.
