The global tech giant IBM has a partnership with Russian metal producers yesterday introduced education program for Block Chain.

Nornickel, a world leader in nickel and palladium based in Moscow, has worked with IBM and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology ( an agreement MIPT ) to set up a learning and training center for specialists in the development of digital technologies for mining and metal industries.

According to the report, the agreement was signed on June 6 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum by Nornickel's Vice-President Sergei Batehin, the IBM Executive Board in Russia, CIS countries Iris Dzeba and MIPT Rector Nikolai Kudryavtsev.

Key challenges for the upcoming MIPT Education Center include training of professionals, research and development of digital ecosystems in areas such as Blockchain and the Internet of Things ( IoT ).

The University is to prepare and introduce master and postgraduate study programs. The first students of this blockchain degree program are expected to begin their studies in the fall of 2019.

In early May, Maltese government granted 159,000 Euros blockchain scholarships to 19 students. These are for a master's degree in blockchain and distributed ledger technologies.
