Coin98 ($C98), a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform co-founded by Thanh Le and Vinh The Nguyen, aims to act as a multi-blockchain gateway. As of my last update in September 2021, the platform's offerings include Coin98 Wallet, Coin98 Exchange, and Space Gate—a cross-chain bridge. The wallet supports over 40 blockchains including Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and Solana, on both mobile and Chrome extension. Unique to Coin98 Wallet is its multi-chain compatible engine, enabling users to interact with multiple blockchain wallets simultaneously using a single passphrase. The platform's native utility token, C98, has a circulating and total supply of 185 million, out of a maximum of 1 billion. The token is allocated for various purposes: ecosystem growth (21%), community development (20%), team (20%), and other areas like strategic and seed sales. Coin98 underwent a Binance Launchpad project in July 2021 and has outlined future developments in its roadmap, including a launchpad and a lending and borrowing platform. It is secured on multiple chains—Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and Solana, and undergoes regular audits, with Certik and Armor among the enlisted firms for auditing its smart contracts and wallet. This multi-chain approach places Coin98 in a distinct position to bridge traditional finance users to DeFi services across numerous blockchains.
