The lightning network wallet provider Bluewallet launched a new app for Apple Watches that allows users to make transaction on Bitcoin using the lightning technology according to its post published on Twitter.
The smartwatch app generates a QR code that allows users to make payments by scanning their smartphones. The app can now be downloaded in the iTunes store.
Nuno Coelho, Product and UX engineer of Bluewallet, explained to the CoinDesk, “Sometimes the convenience of just [receiving bitcoin] with two taps from your wrist can be a relevant user experience, specially on the go or if you need to be fast,”. Coehlo further emphasized that this project is still at its experimental stage as the lightning technology is still premature and they are unsure how many users will use the app.
