Alibaba – the Chinese e-commerce giant will launch blockchain initiatives on intellectual property protection to better serve their clients, the Chinese local news outlet Sohu reported 23 May.

Alibaba – the Chinese e-commerce giant will launch blockchain initiatives on intellectual property protection to better serve their clients, the Chinese local news outlet Sohu reported 23 May.

Ali Xizhi, intellectual property protection director of Alibaba commented that the company will implement the blockchain technology in September for intellectual property protection project. They are planning to expand into digital copyright protection such as visual content.

Ali explained that through the Ali Intellectual Property Protection Platform (IPP platform), corporations can connect to the Internet Court where they are entitled for litigation rights protection automatically through blockchain.
