[Rejected] Bakkt to Launch First Regulated Options Contracts for Bitcoin Futures in December

Bakkt, a subsidiary of the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) planned to launch its first regulated options contract for bitcoin futures on December 9.
Bakkt, a subsidiary of the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) planned to launch its first regulated options contract for bitcoin futures on December 9. Announced on a Medium post on Oct 24., the report stated that the option contract would be anchored on Bakkt Monthly Bitcoin Futures contract. Bakkt is willing to bring trust and utility to digital assets through the development of options contracts for a regulated market which serves as a vital stepping stone towards the growth of this asset class for institutional investors and customers.
Bakkt noted that the new contract is based on customer suggestions and is patterned to grab bitcoin exposure, generate income, and offer capital and cost efficiencies. The futures prices and institutional-grade custody were also leveraged for the sole aim of meeting the requirements for a regulated options contract.
Since the Bakkt launched its Bitcoin Futures, they tried as much to work on a close-range with customers to establish liquidity, open interest and market transparency this then made the exchange to record a figure of 590 contracts on October 23rd plus other milestones they were able to achieve.
Per the report, capital efficiency, European style option, cash or physical settlement, attractive fees, broad distribution and liquidity, instant messaging, options analytics, and block trades have been outlined as the significant features of the Bakkt Bitcoin Options contract.
